Gem Dealer Kevin Caron In this race to be the first one to get four gems, Mike collects three in a row, but then he stalls and Kevin overtakes him.
Gem Dealer Mike Gerdov Once again Mike sets a blistering pace, and this time it pays off.
Gem Dealer Ian Stewart Alain and Stephan finally get a gem, but it is Ian who quickly gets four.
Condottiere Stephan Reebs Another bidding card game, this one with a more warlike theme. Drummer and surrender cards allow Stephan to get three adjacent territories.

Played at Stephan's place. KSIMA. While Pascal sails, we try a new game that feels a bit like Witch's Brew or Citadels.

Notes

Grimoire Ian Stewart Grizzled old Ian is the most convincing spell caster, amassing 45 points, 2 more than Kevin.

1

Played at Stephan's place. ASMIKP. After a 1-week hiatus to play croquet in Alain's backyard on Canada Day, we meet again at the HFG.

Notes

Codenames Ian Stewart, Kevin Caron, Stephan Reebs 2-1. Three difficult games with a fair number of mistakes on all sides. The best move was Alain's clue "vision" for 4: telescope, ray, hawk, and satellite, though the latter was skipped.

Played at Stephan's place. SKAMP. The heat wave is still ongoing, so once again we do the chatting on the deck.

Notes

Augustus Mike Gerdov Close race between Mike and Kevin. Mike is the first to 7 cards and he wins with 64 points.
Wits & Wagers Stephan Reebs A flurry of reckless all-in betting sees Stephan win with only 19 dollars, probably a record for the lowest winning score ever.
Tsuro Stephan Reebs Stephan gets an 8-square corner of the board all by himself, and he wins when Pascal gets an unlucky tile that forces him to go out.

Played at Stephan's place. PIMASK. A very warm day, so we do the chatting on the deck. The big cylinder strapped to the roof of Pascal's car turn out to be a future rain-collecting barrel, not a rocket booster.

Notes

Codenames Alain Haché, Ian Stewart, Mike Gerdov 2-1. The highlight is Alain's clue (ice) for 4 words: snow, penguin, Alps, and slip.
Tsuro Kevin Caron Kevin ends up alone on the very last square.
