Played at Stephan's place. AMKIPS. Hurricane Fiona badly mauled the Maritimes last weekend, and today Hurricane Ian is wreaking havoc in Florida, so of course (and as we often do at this time of year) we play Category 5.

Category 5 Pascal Werlberger Hurricanes Kevin, Ian and Alain (Allen?) are so powerful they are the first to trigger the end game, all at the same time. The game is won handily by Pascal, who does not have a hurricane named after him yet - he's no more than a weak depression at 27 points.
Incan Gold Stephan Reebs Mike and Ian get in each other's way (i.e. leave at the same time) and later Alain and Pascal do the same, leaving Stephan with a modest win at 26 points.
Tsuro Pascal Werlberger Close contest (but without Alain) where Pascal ends up alone on the last square.

Played at Stephan's place. AMSPI. Kevin is away at a parent-teacher meeting, so we play a game he's not too keen on.

Power Grid Alain Haché Close contest that ends in a three-way tie for first (15 powered cities). The tie-breaker gives a clear win to Alain (53 dollars left) over Mike (17 dollars) and Stephan (1 miserable dollar).

Played at Stephan's place. MIASPK. Everybody uses the back entrance because work is being done on the HFG's front porch. From there people move straight to the table, leaving us no time to chat about the Queen's death.

Voyages Alain Haché Convincing win by Alain, whose 61 points are 10 more than the nearest competitor.
Codenames Mike Gerdov, Pascal Werlberger, Stephan Reebs Kevin leads the first easy win; Mike squeezes a tough second win; so it comes down to the last game where Stephan successfully gives a clue for 4 (actress for Hollywood, screen, play, and princess) and benefits from two gifts from the other team.

Wits & Wagers Stephan Reebs Average American coffee consumption (yes, again!); James Bond movies; first Stanley Cup winners; first presidential occupation of the White House, etc. It comes down to the last bet with only a one-token difference between Stephan and Ian. 132 points.
Citadels Ian Stewart 23 points for Ian, 2 more than Kevin and 3 more than Alain.

Played at Stephan's place. KSAMP. Alain brings a blueberry pie, and part of his collection of fountain pens and craft papers. We all practice our cursive writing.

No Thanks! Stephan Reebs Kevin wins the first round, Pascal wins the second, Mike wins the third, and Stephan wins the whole game (64 points).
King of Tokyo Stephan Reebs Stephan opens with 1.e4 and must face the Berlin Defense in the ... oops, wait, sorry ... Stephan rolled some dice and got lucky.
Tsuro Kevin Caron Despite the fact that he was the starting player, Kevin triumphs with only the dragon square left.
