Played at Kevin's place. SKAM - A one-off game night is held at Kevin’s place while Melissa is out seeing a Spice Girls cover band. We start the evening playing a game of Chicken! with Elizabeth (6) who ends up humiliating the HFG crew with her win of 25 points. We collectively decide to never talk about this again and to not log the event on HFGclub.

Takenoko Stephan Reebs Stephan's panda is ravenous: 7 of his 8 cards end up being of the eating kind. He wins with 37 points.

37 points

Kingdom Builder Kevin Caron Kevin is first to place all his settlements, and his 51 points are 4 better than Mike's score, with Stephan way behind.
Splendor Stephan Reebs Stephan concentrates on the second tier of cards and is first to 15 points.
Tsuro Mike Gerdov Tsuro is just as good a filler with 3 players as with 5 or 6. Mike carves out a good chunk of the board for himself and wins with three squares left.

Played at Stephan's place. IMSAK. We have a good discussion as usual (the future of IGT, fountain pens, hot tubs, obesity), then we play a new version (map # 4) of Voyages. And then, without looking at the time (around 9 pm), we start another sailing game (in honour of Pascal, off sailing tonight): Fire & Axe. But there's no way that we can finish that game in less than 2 hours (especially considering that we haven't played in a while) and by 10 pm we realize our mistake. So we do something that may very well be unprecedented in the annals of the HFG: we abort the game and go home at a reasonable time.

Voyages Mike Gerdov Mike's performance (63 points) lights up the night sky, provides a beacon for all our future expeditions, and more importantly cements his position as Man of the Month.

SIMPAK. Today's the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and the sun is shining bright (for a change). We discuss the tourist submarine that recently disappeared while visiting the wreck of the Titanic.

Deep Sea Adventure Kevin Caron In the totally safe and non-claustrophobic environment of the HFG, we play Deep Sea Adventure. With 39 points, Kevin beats Mike's score by two points.
King of Tokyo Alain Haché Alain takes an early lead (five 3s on the first round) and never relinquishes it, reaching 20 points way ahead of everybody else. His five 3s were echoed by the five paws that Ian rolled, eliminating Tokyo Mike early.
Trans Europa Mike Gerdov At the beginning of the fourth and last round (where Kevin went out), Mike and Ian are tied at 8. Mike wins the round while Ian is only 1 away.
