Played at Stephan's place. CAMPS. We take advantage of the fact that Carlo replaces Kevin to play a good 5-player game that Kevin doesn't like. We also look forward to Alain's birthday bash / deferred Thanksgiving turkey sacrifice in two days.

Antike II Stephan Reebs Stephan defends his title successfully, this time with a science strategy, from Carthage.

Played at Stephan's place. ASKMIP. Lots of chatting tonight, so we squeeze in only one game. (Well, three, really.)

Notes

Codenames Alain Haché, Kevin Caron, Stephan Reebs Kevin and Stephan do well as clue givers, but as clue guessers they let the hat trick "slip" from their grasp with an obsession for pink whales.

0

Played at Stephan's place. SKAMP. Insight lands on Mars. And a new game lands on the table at the HFG (well, the game is old, but tonight it is played for the first time).

Show Manager Mike Gerdov 52 points for Mike in the inaugural game. Only Kevin comes close, with 48 points.
Perudo Pascal Werlberger Three dice left. And with this victory, Pascal clinches the Man of the Month title.

0

Played at Stephan's place. KSIMPA. "Yuge" night for Pascal, who wins every game (though the three wins at Codenames count for only one point). He will no doubt celebrate with some Speyside whisky from the Fredericton Whisky Fest.

Screw your neighbour Pascal Werlberger 96 points. Mike was in the running and ended in second place.
Codenames Kevin Caron, Mike Gerdov, Pascal Werlberger 3-0. The first two games were close, though.

2

Played at Stephan's place. SPAMK. -8 degrees, -20 degrees with the wind chill factor, frozen slush all over the place. Good thing the HFG is warm, with drinks to warm ourselves! At the end of the night we discover that the wind has ripped away the flag; fortunately it is found, three houses down the street.

Notes

Scotland Yard Alain Haché, Kevin Caron, Mike Gerdov, Stephan Reebs Pascal is curious to try Scotland Yard again, to see if it's really that hard for the bad guy to avoid getting caught. He puts on Mr. X's cap, plays both double-turns, and gets caught anyway.
Scotland Yard Alain Haché, Kevin Caron, Pascal Werlberger, Stephan Reebs Mike's turn to give it a try. He plays both double-turns and lasts longer than anyone else (about 16 turns) but in the end he gets caught in the park.
Perudo Stephan Reebs Two dice left against Pascal.
Tsuro Kevin Caron Minus Alain. Kevin goes back and forth along the same two ranks and ends up alone on the last square, a perfect game.
