If you add the unemployment numbers, we’re passed 40% of the population 15yo or older.

Well, it’s important to realize that those numbers include people who are retired (the “or older” in “15 y or older” includes the people over 65). Retired people are not necessarily a burden on society, if they have built up a pension or some kind of nest egg during their career. The interest of our discussion was to estimate what percentage of society is parasitic. No way that’s 40%, nowhere near that.
