There are indeed lots of forums with Q&A type stuff already.
What I'm thinking would be a platform to actually talk to experts -- voice or video. The fact that everyone is now accustomed to Zoom or Teams is a game changer.
You'd log on, look up experts, check theirs fee (e.g. 5$ for 20 min) and profiles (creds, reviews), send a word on the topic/problem, and a proposed date/time. If the expert agrees, the platform connects them by voice/video at the set time, and makes the transaction (paypal, tokens or cc) when the meeting is done.
Why would someone charge 5$/20min you might ask? Because people already like helping others for free, and talk about what they're passionate about. If they receive good reviews and the topic is in demand, they could charge more and more.
The demand could be driven by students (e.g. problems and research papers), writers and researchers, any project with technical issues, people wanting to learn stuff or just plain curiosity.

I recently had an idea which could have huge potential.
Here's the problem I'd like to solve.
How do you connect an expert on any topic, say fish behavior, with someone who would like to talk to such expert? By ''expert'' I mean professionals but also anybody with some knowlege/experience useful to others.
Of course the technology to do that exists, but amazingly no platform which makes it easy, efficient and a win-win process (+win for the platform). Linkedin doesn't do that either.
I'm sure you can think of ways such platform could work.
I could get funding to make it happen at the university level, and then make it grow from there. If it works it could be the next Facebook, but connecting people based on expertise instead -- friendship is overrrated!
