Never forget Augsburg! (sounds like a good idea for a bumper sticker)

Short recap: Alain is trying to get Augsburg, invests in replacing all 6 city cards 2 times, then it comes up when it's not his turn. Stephan decides he really likes Augsburg too (although he also has it already in his hand). Stephan takes 'Augsburg' - Alain is left speechless... Alain has to postpone his triumph, and Stephan can't complete his road with having now 2 Augsburg cards in his hand. Pascal wins!

Historical facts: "Thurn und Taxis" was a german family that was a key player for postal services, breweries and builders of castles around 1600-1800. Also the "Fugger" was a german banking family around the same time which took over a lot of assets from the famous Italian "Medici" family in Italy.

Ahh, classic 'divide an conquer' tactics displayed by Pascal. Trash-talking opponents into interfearing with each other, and stilling the win for himself. It pains me to know I missed ludicrous display last night.

Pascal was actually quiet, it's Stephan who brought us both to hell all by himself. I finished 5 pts behind Pascal and Stephan 16 pts behind. Of course, that didn't stop him from giving us plenty of tips at the end of the game!

Stephan Reebs - 2015-09-10 14:38:13:

Good tips too! I live to give.
