Played at Stephan's place. IMSKAP. Full crew on a muggy day. It may be hot enough that gallium would melt. Did you know that, of all the elements, gallium has the widest temperature range under which it stays liquid? It boils at 2403 oC. It melts at 30 oC.

Yay! Now we have an "Element of the week". Sheldon Cooper would be proud of us. I can't wait for vanadium, my main research interest.

Alain Haché - 2018-07-19 11:07:04:

Just out. For all of you fans of vanadium. :-)

The eggs just hatched. And the babies are just as gross as humans once:

They are indeed "cute"!!

Carlo-Antonio Marin - 2018-07-23 13:41:32:

Did you catch it live?

Damn, they are just as gross.

Stephan Reebs - 2018-07-23 13:42:49:

Baby dinosaurs!

Mike Gerdov - 2018-07-23 13:51:53:

I think they hatched yesterday or last night, we were not home went diving
so did not see it live. Also my camera deos not quite look inside the nest
really, so unfortunately we do not have recorded footage of hatching
process.
Maybe we can capture it next season, if UdeM biology department gives me a
grant to buy better cameras :-)

This fruit is 30 lbs of yumminess. It tastes a bit like bubble gum. Can you guess what it is?

Kevin Caron - 2018-07-27 13:48:14:

It looks like a Durian that grew too big.

Alain Haché - 2018-07-27 13:53:46:

You're getting close, but it's not a durian.

Mike Gerdov - 2018-07-27 13:57:46:

Is that something that spits acid if injured, and you suppose to nuke it
from orbit?

It says it's the national fruit of Sri Lanka. Does Canada have a national fruit? What could it be? Saskatoonberries?

Funny, this Jackfruit was from Mexico...
